Time Frames for a Referral

Acquired Brain Injury: At least one year post-injury.

Spinal Cord Injury: At time of maximum medical improvement (MMI), often within 6 months of injury.

Burn Injury: At time of MMI. Varies depending on nature of the burns.

Multiple Trauma: At time of MMI.  Varies depending on the injury.
