Job Development & Placement

     The individual's abilities are matched with the local employers needs to achieve a successful job placement.  An effective job search is conducted with the individual to return the individual to the labor force.  The individual is trained on how to apply for a job, developing a resume, Interviewing skills, and how to discuss their current skills and training with an employer to secure a new job.  Vocational Counseling is also included. 

Job Analysis

    Job analysis is the systematic study of the educational, environmental, and physical demands of a given job.  In compliance with the ADA guidelines, the "essential functions" of the job are identified and recommendations for "reasonable accomodation" can be made.  Utilizing U.S. Department of Labor Statistics, a determination can be made regarding the employee's appropriateness for specific positions.

A job can also be video taped for a physician to review and determine appropriateness for current work restrictions given.

Labor Market Surveys

We determine the availibility of specific jobs and current wages within a given geographic area.  Required training, skills, and experience are documented for each job, as well as hiring patterns and salary/benefit information.  This assists in determining whether jobs of comparable wages exist and are available in the Labor Market where the individual resides in relation to their previous job. 

A concise report is developed which also includes O*Net data with the individuals complete job history and transferrable skills.
